Registering for Freshman Orientation
You can register for orientation in two ways:
- Visit our Freshman Orientation Dates page and select an available date to send us an email with required information.
- Or contact the Office of New Student Orientation by phone or email, and we will register you for a session.
Be ready to provide your UTEP ID number when calling or emailing.

- Orientation is personalized based on your academic major.
- Sessions fill quickly, so register early.

Day 1 is required. Reserve Day 2 for a possible advising appointment.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS SESSION?
This session is for first-time college students starting UTEP in Spring 2027, including students who delayed college entry by one semester or are beginning college as nontraditional students.
ADMITTED FOR SUMMER / FALL 2027
Both days are required to complete Freshman Student Orientation.

COMING SOON dates will open only after earlier sessions become full. We recommend registering for the earliest available session because course options may become more limited during later sessions.
* Summer enrollment: Students who want to enroll in Summer classes must attend one of the marked orientation sessions.
